Adrian Peterson Breaks NFL Rushing Record

This past Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings beat the San Diego Chargers 35-17, but the game wasn’t what everyone in Minnesota was talking about.

The Minnesota Viking’s Rooking Running Back, Adrian Peterson, is what everyone was talking about.

Adrian Peterson set a new NFL rushing record – 296 yards! With his amazing performance on Sunday, Adrian Peterson is on pace to break Eric Dickerson’s rookie rushing record and some people are predicting that he might break the all-time NFL single season rushing record (also set by Dickerson).

Simply amazing!

Trinity University’s Last Second Win After 15 Laterals Is Worth A Second Look

Trinity University beat Millsaps College on a last second play that may be the most amazing ending for a football game ever. This play gave Trinity University a 28-24 victory over Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday, October 27, 2007.

I watched it on the news last weekend, and just had to post it. Check out the video to see what could be the most amazing football play ever:

Boston Red Sox Win The 2007 World Series

I meant to write about this earlier. Anyway, the Boston Red Sox swept the Colorado Rockies 4-0 to win the 2007 World Series. Here are some video highlights of the final game (mostly their victory celebration):

Craig Biggio Reaches 3,000 Hit Milestone

Craig Biggio made his 3,000th hit last night here in Houston at Minute Maid Park. This huge milestone cements his place in history and greatly increases his chance of being inducted into the hall of fame.

LaDainian Tomlinson Breaks NFL Rushing Touchdown Record

San Diego Charger’s running back LaDainian Tomlinson scored 3 touchdowns to set an NFL single season record with 29 touchdowns. What’s even more amazing is that he has two games left to play.

Congratulations to LaDainian Tomlinson for breaking the touchdown record.

Ohio State Quarterback Troy Smith Wins Heisman Trophy

As expected, Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith won college football’s Heisman Trophy today.

Troy Smith got 801 first place votes and he won the overall Heisman vote by 1,662 points. Each of those were the second best results in the history of the award.
